Nickel 141 electrode is mainly used for coating electrode arc welding of Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 alloys, welding of nickel plated steel on the side of nickel coating, and surfacing of steel. The reaction between titanium and carbon in the weld metal reduces the free carbon to a relatively low level, so this electrode can be used for the welding of low carbon nickel alloy (Nickel 201). The weld metal has excellent corrosion resistance, especially alkali metal corrosion resistance. This electrode can also be used for welding of dissimilar materials, including the welding between Nickel 200 alloy and Nickel 201 alloy, as well as the welding of various iron-based and nickel-based alloys. Nickel 141 electrode is suitable for all position welding.
